  Indus Source Books

It was a cool afternoon in July 2001.Two enthusiastic women, full of ideas and aspirations, watched the rain fall gently into the swirling waters of the Arabian Sea from a Mumbai apartment. The clashing dark clouds and flashes of lightning seemed to herald a momentous occasion. The rain pattered down rhythmically – auspicious, welcoming and encouraging new beginnings. Indus Source was conceived.

One of us (Supriya) has a background in business management and spent many years in the corporate world whereas the other (Sonavi) has a legal background. So what made us take on this foray into the world of publishing? It was a logical conclusion actually, to our deep interest in spirituality and culture. Both of us have been exposed to uplifting spiritual experiences. Our understanding of the many facets of Indian music, dance and art forms through volunteering for a cultural organisation, further kindled a desire to explore this fascinating realm. It was only a sincere interest and sense of dedication that inspired us to write and publish books. A desire to preserve and pass on the storehouse of tales, traditions and timeless wisdom that has long existed in our land. A heritage as beautiful, ancient and timeless as the Indus.

It is our endeavour to reach out to the modern, contemporary reader and give him a glimpse of a bygone era that is so relevant even today. Join us on this exciting journey of exploration and discovery!
